You can determine the dielectric function directly from R and T only in a spectral range where the transmission is significantly different from 0. In the current example this is the range from 9000 1/cm to about 40000 1/cm.
The spectral range for the dielectric function to be computed is set in a dialog like this:
Note that you can choose a unit different from that in the spectrum windows.
