This is a simple ASCII format created by Hitachi spectrometers. SCOUT will only import data from the file if line 4 in the file contains a '3' - this indicates a spectral scan in nanometers.

SCOUT will not check if the spectral type denoted in line 5 (Reflectance, Transmittance, ...) agrees with the settings in the importing object. This is your responsibility.
