This format is text file based (default extension: *.CSV). A file may contain several spectra, each one in a separate row with its spectral values separated by commas. A header line contains the description of the items in each row.

SCOUT will display the first four values found for the individual spectra in a dropdown list and give the user the opportunity to select a spectrum from the list. It is assumed that the first four items contain a description of the spectrum, giving enough information for identification.
