BREIN consists of several program modules that must run at the same time. All modules expect a text file named brein_path.ini in their program directory. The first line of text in this file contains the path to the central storage folder. This must be a network folder accessible to all modules.

If brein_path.ini is missing, the modules work with the database subfolder in their own program directory.
