Purpose

Digit is an easy to use program to get digitized data from scanned pictures containing scientific graphics.

Requirements

You must have a scanned bitmap in the Windows bitmap format (*.bmp) which can be created by most scanner software packages. If you have any other format like GIF, TIF, JPEG or anything else you must consult one of the numerous file conversion utilitities (Graphic Workshop, IPhotoDeluxe, Paint Shop Pro, ...) that convert various bitmap formats.

You should also have a reasonable screen resolution, i.e. at least 800 by 600 pixels. The more, the better.
